Volunteer with us.

We are about to embark on one of the largest united evangelistic efforts that Teesside has seen in over a decade. Now is the time to start planning how you can get involved!

We need to recruit hundreds of volunteers, from the local church to facilitate a welcoming and safe environment for everyone who attend Festival Teesside. Our volunteers are affectionately known as Festival Friends and will be needed to take on various roles between 5-11 June.

Volunteer Roles

General Volunteer

At times behind the scenes but willing, practical, and hardworking, this group is key to preparing the site before, maintenance during, and tear down after the festival.

Welcome Team

This enthusiastic and dedicated group is key to making the festival weekend an enjoyable and memorable experience. The team will provide a friendly welcome to the festival, directing and helping people as they arrive, and will be an ongoing point of contact for festivalgoers as and when they require assistance.

Welcome Team lining the route

It will be your job to help the attendees of Festival Teesside find their way to the festival site once they have parked their car. You will be part of a team that lines the route, points people in the right direction, and welcomes everyone with a smile!

Crowd Steward

Crowd Stewards work together across the site to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone who attends Festival Teesside. The training on 3 June will give you specific guidance in your role.

Tech Team

If you know the difference between an XLR and an IEC we could do with you help to look after the technical areas across the site. From turning up a microphone to turning on front lights - your expertise will be put to use and appreciated!

Kids and Families Team

The Children's team help to deliver programmed activities for children and families during the festival weekend.

Youth Team

The Youth team help to deliver programmed activities for children and families during the festival weekend.

Gospel Response team

We need a team of volunteers who are would be confident to speak to those who want to make a commitment to Christ after each Gospel response moment across the site. You will have a strong faith of your own, a willingness to listen, and a heart to see others come to Christ. The training on 3 June is essential to everyone who wants to be a Festival Friend, but here you will be given thorough guidance on how to lead someone through the Gospel response, and what to do next so that they are connected to a church.

Litter Pick Up

We want to ensure that as we move out of Stewart Park, it will be as if we were never there! Please sign up to join us on Tuesday following the festival for a huge, collaborative litter-pick!
